Product Introduction

FRP Sand Filter Vessel (Model 1865)

The FRP Sand Filter Vessel 1865 is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant pressure tank designed for industrial and commercial water treatment applications. Constructed from fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) with a polyethylene liner, it ensures long-term durability and chemical resistance in harsh environments such as desalination, power plants, and municipal filtration systems.

With a diameter of 18 inches (460 mm) and a height of 65 inches (1660 mm), this model offers a total capacity of 235 liters (61 gallons)-ideal for mid-sized filtration systems. It can operate safely under 150 PSI (1.03 MPa) and 50°C, maintaining stable performance for more than 10 years.

This page primarily details the technical specifications of the 1865 model. Other models are also available via INK-BLUE; please feel free to inquire at any time.

Installation Example

Our FRP Sand Filter Vessel has been widely adopted by integrators and OEMs in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
One recent case:

A textile factory in Malaysia used 12 sets of FRP 1865 vessels with automatic valves for their pretreatment system. The result: turbidity dropped from 32 NTU to below 1 NTU, extending RO membrane life by 30%.

FAQ

Q1: How do I choose the right FRP vessel size?

A: Selection depends on system flow rate and backwash requirements. For 4.5–5.0 m³/h, the 1865 model is ideal.

Q2: Can I use the 1865 vessel for softening applications?

A: Yes. It's compatible with ion exchange resin. For dual-tank softeners, use paired 1865 vessels with automatic valves.

Q3: How often should the filter media be replaced?

A: Typically every 1–2 years, depending on feed water quality and filtration load.

Q4: Does the vessel come with a pressure relief valve?

A: Not by default, but optional fittings can be added upon request.
