Product Introduction

4872 FRP Vessel with Flange Connections

The 4872 FRP Vessel is a large-capacity, high-pressure-bearing FRP filter tank. It can process 9-18 tons of water daily and is suitable for large-scale industrial production. Due to its large size, ordinary threaded connections cannot be used and must be changed to flange connections. Model 4872 FRP pressure vessel usually has a large and high-pressure carrying capacity. Flange connections can provide a strong connection, ensuring that the vessel can withstand high pressures and cope with shock and vibration during system operation. At the same time, it can also be equipped with optional side openings to facilitate filling or replacing filter media or other filter materials in the container.

Advantages of flange connection

1

Strength and Reliability:

Flange connections provide a strong connection that can withstand high pressures and handle the shock and vibration of system operation. This connection method ensures a strong and reliable connection between the container and other systems or equipment, reducing the risk of leakage or loosening.

2

Easy to repair and maintain:

The Flange connection makes the repair and maintenance of the container more convenient. By disassembling the flange connection, the interior of the vessel can be easily accessed for inspection, cleaning, or component replacement without the need to disassemble the entire vessel.

3

Flexibility and replaceability:

Flange connections provide greater flexibility, allowing the container to be connected to other systems or equipment. If the vessel needs to be replaced or the system expanded, flange connections allow the vessel to be easily removed and replaced without having to change the entire piping system.

4

Comply with standards:

Flange connection is a common industrial connection method that complies with international standards and specifications, such as ANSI (American National Standards Institute) or DIN (German Industrial Standards), etc. This ensures that vessel connections comply with industry requirements and that compatible fittings and connections are easy to find.

What is the side opening in the FRP tank?

The side opening in an FRP tank refers to a specific access point or port located on the side of the tank. It is an additional opening apart from the main inlet and outlet ports typically found on the top or bottom of the tank. Some large vessels tank such as 4872 FRP vessels, will need the side opening.
The side opening serves various purposes and can be used for different functions depending on the specific application. Some common uses of the side opening in an FRP tank include:

  • 1. Inspection and maintenance: The side opening allows easy access to the interior of the tank for inspection, cleaning, or maintenance purposes. It provides a convenient entry point for personnel to visually inspect the condition of the tank, clean any accumulated sediments or deposits, or perform necessary repair work.
  • 2. Sampling and testing: The side opening can be utilized for sampling or testing the contents of the tank. It allows operators to extract samples of the liquid or gas inside the tank for analysis, quality control, or to monitor process parameters.
  • 3. Additional connections: The side opening can serve as an additional connection point for auxiliary equipment or instrumentation. It can be used to install additional fittings, sensors, gauges, or other devices that aid in monitoring and controlling the tank's operation.
  • 4. Drainage or fluid transfer: In some cases, the side opening may be designed for draining the tank or transferring fluids in or out of the tank. It can be connected to a valve or piping system to facilitate controlled draining or fluid transfer operations.

FAQ

Why can't the 4872 FRP Vessel use threaded connections like smaller tanks?

A: The 4872 is a large-capacity tank with high-pressure requirements. Threaded connections lack the strength to withstand its operating pressures (e.g., [insert typical pressure range, e.g., 12-15 bar]) and are prone to loosening under vibration. Flange connections provide a stronger, more secure seal.

How do I maintain the side opening? Is it prone to leaks?

A: The side opening is designed with the same FRP material and sealed with industrial-grade gaskets. Regular inspection (every 6-12 months) to check gasket condition ensures leak-free performance. If needed, gaskets can be replaced without disassembling the entire vessel.

What's the maximum daily water capacity of the 4872 FRP Vessel?

A: It processes 9-18 tons/day, depending on inlet pressure, filter media type, and water quality. For high-turbidity water, the lower end (9 tons/day) is recommended to maintain filtration efficiency.

Are flange connections compatible with my existing piping system?

A: Yes! The 4872 uses ANSI/DIN-standard flanges, which are compatible with most industrial piping systems. If your system uses non-standard flanges, adapters can be provided for seamless integration.
