Product Overview
The FRP Membrane Housing is designed to hold 8040 RO membranes safely and efficiently under high pressure.
Each housing can load 1 to 6 pieces of 8040 RO membranes, making it suitable for both small and large reverse osmosis systems.
Manufactured with automated filament winding technology, every vessel offers uniform wall thickness, leak-free sealing, and superior corrosion resistance.
Compared to traditional stainless steel housings, FRP models are 70% lighter, easier to install, and fully resistant to saltwater, chemicals, and UV exposure.

Key Features
✅ Corrosion & UV Resistant
Made from high-grade fiberglass and epoxy resin, ideal for seawater, brackish water, and chemical environments.
✅ Lightweight & High Strength
1/4 the weight of steel vessels. Easy to transport and install.
✅ Leak-Free Precision Sealing
CNC-machined end caps and O-ring design ensure zero leakage even under 20 bar pressure.
✅ Thermal Stability
Low heat conductivity protects RO membranes from external temperature fluctuations.
✅ Flexible Port Options
Available in both end-port and side-port designs for different installation layouts.
✅ Low Maintenance
Smooth internal surface prevents scaling and simplifies cleaning.

End Port vs. Side Port Comparison
| Feature | End Port | Side Port |
|---|---|---|
| Connection Layout | Feed and concentrate ports on same end | Ports on both sides |
| Ease of Piping | Simpler for single-unit systems | Ideal for multi-element series connections |
| Maintenance Access | Easy membrane replacement | Easier integration in compact skids |
| Space Requirement | Slightly longer length | Saves axial space in dense layouts |
| Typical Use | Compact RO units | Large-scale industrial systems |
💡 Tip: If your RO system connects multiple housings in series, choose side-port design for efficient flow and reduced piping.

FAQ
Q1: How many RO membranes can one housing hold?
→ Each housing holds 1–6 pieces of 8040 RO membranes, depending on model length.
Q2: What's the max working pressure?
→ Standard design: 300 PSI (20 bar). Custom 450–1000 PSI versions available on request.
Q3: What's the difference between FRP and stainless steel housings?
→ FRP is lighter, corrosion-proof, and cost-effective. Stainless steel is used only in high-temperature or aggressive chemical conditions.
Q4: How can I replace membranes easily?
→ The quick-lock end cap allows fast opening; full replacement takes less than 5 minutes with standard tools.
Q5: Is it compatible with all 8040 RO membranes?
→ Yes, fits all standard 8040 models (e.g., DOW, Hydranautics, Toray, Vontron).
