On April 23, 2025, Xi'an Ink-Blue Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the special forum "2025 China Foreign Trade Trends and Interpretation of New Tariff Policies" hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. As a leading water treatment equipment exporter in the northwest region, the company's general manager participated in this industry event and discussed new paths for foreign trade development with more than 400 government and enterprise representatives.
The forum focused on core issues such as the deepening implementation of RCEP, new US tariff policies, and cross-border e-commerce compliance. Experts from the Ministry of Commerce Research Institute pointed out that in 2025, foreign trade companies will face the triple challenges of "increased green thresholds, regional market reconstruction, and accelerated digital trade". The export of environmental protection equipment needs to focus on the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) for the accounting requirements of carbon emissions in production. Officials from the Tariff Department of the General Administration of Customs interpreted the relevant tariff adjustments for water treatment equipment on the spot and suggested that companies use the rules of origin of the free trade agreement to reduce trade costs.
"The water treatment industry is at the forefront of the global green transformation." The company's general manager said during the exchange session, "We are promoting two strategic responses: on the one hand, we are accelerating the research and development of photovoltaic-driven water treatment systems to reduce the carbon footprint of products by 40%; on the other hand, we are deploying assembly centers and using the China-ASEAN zero tariff policy to break through the barriers of the European and American markets."
The foreign trade director revealed: "Relying on the location advantages of Xi'an Land Port, the company's Central Asian orders increased by 120% year-on-year, and in the future, it will focus on developing seawater desalination projects along the 'Belt and Road'."
This forum provides an important reference for Ink-Blue Environmental Protection to anchor policy trends and optimize its global layout. With the advent of the new tariff era, the company will continue to strengthen technological innovation and compliance management, and open up new international market territory with intelligent and low-carbon water treatment solutions.
